The new store marks a return for the travel brand, which is located opposite its original site from five years ago.
Team leader Jordan Cohen says it is a positive step to be back open in Coastlands.
‘I grew up on the (Kapiti) coast and remember booking our first ever family holiday at the original store here when I was younger, so it’s special to be back, opening a new store in the same location.’
Cohen joins the store from Flight Centre Palmerston North, having been with the company for eight years in various travel expert and team leader roles.
She joins the team alongside travel experts Vanessa Bond, Teane Aroha and Danco van Graan.
Heidi Walker, general manager of Flight Centre New Zealand says that with a boost to international flight capacity in and out of Wellington announced this year, it’s a great time for Kāpiti locals to plan their next getaway.
She adds that the new store is part of Flight Centre’s commitment to locally-based travel services.
