To mark the launch of non-stop flights between Christchurch and Adelaide, Air New Zealand hosted seven local travel trade to South Australia to experience the region’s food, wine and events.

The group explored Adelaide city on foot with Flamboyance Walking Tours before boarding a catamaran on Temptation Sailing’s new Kauwi Cultural Cruise along Adelaide’s coastline to experience the region’s aquatic and cultural elements with a First Nations guide and marine biologist.

The agents also attended international arts festival, OzAsia, at the Lucky Dumpling Market before heading south to the McLaren Vale wine region, to explore the d’Arenberg Cube and Chalk Hill Collective. The group stayed at Beresford Estate suites in a 28 hectare vineyard planted in the 1960s.

From there participants took in the Adelaide Hills on a Bike About e-bike tour and stayed at Monarto Safari Resort, taking in sights and sounds around the waterhole at dusk.

NZ flies non-stop from CHC to ADL twice weekly, operating between October and March and five times weekly between AKL and ADL.
