Vanuatu ready for reboot

Vanuatu Tourism Office reports that resorts in the destination have been preparing for the return of international visitors.

Aore Island Resort on Espiritu Santo has completed a total renovation. This includes improved guestrooms, restaurants, jetties and beach huts. Agents can follow Aore Resort on Instagram @aoreislandresort

Mangoes and Terraces Resort have been working behind the scenes to upgrade the kitchens and pool areas.  They also have a new app, developed to reduce contact points around the resorts. The whole team is double vaccinated.

Tamanu Beach Resort has been focusing on increasing the local produce offerings on its menus, expanding the use of seasonal produce and taking full advantage of the organic and fresh foods on offer. While using local has always been key to tourism businesses in Vanuatu, The Vanuatu Government has encouraged all tourism operators to find ways to become more sustainable and local in their supply chains.

As everywhere, vaccination is key to starting recovery. Neighbouring resorts Nasama and Resort and Breakas Beach Resort are holding a vaccination party for their surrounding villages on 29 October. The Ministry of Health will have a pop up vaccination tent with a free buffet for those getting their jab.
