New Cook Islands adventures

Island Hopper Vacations has new packages that open up the Cook Islands beyond Rarotonga and Aitutaki.

‘These are essentially small group charters with the ability for individuals or couples to join,’ says managing director Robert Skews.

The Southern Group Adventure package takes up to 12 people to Atiu, Mitiaro, Mauke and Mangaia, staying two nights in each island and includes flights, accommodation, tours and breakfasts and dinners.

The Trailblazers Northern Atolls takes six clients some 1200 km to the normally inaccessible Northern Group islands of Pukapuka, Manihiki and Tongareva (Penrhyn) in a Cessna Citation private jet (seven seats). There is a guide with guests at all times and packages include flights, all meals, transfers, tours and a polo shirt. Accommodation is mixed from hostel style with individual rooms to small beachside bungalows.

Both tours offer multiple fixed departure dates for 2022. Individual trips can also be arranged as required.

‘We will likely run these tours in September or October 2021 once our border is fully open,’ adds Skews.

Additionally, Island Hopper Vacations has released its new private tours – allowing for those who require privacy and more personal service to undertake these normally group tours as a separate outing.

Pricing for all these activities are retail. Agents can take a commission of 12% off these prices, and payment can be made directly into a New Zealand bank account.
