Heather Gordon, group director of sales and marketing Raffe Hotels and Resorts, reports that Lomani Island Resort and Spa now has four new pool bures at the far end of the resort. ‘We’re definitely seeing a demand for that sort of accommodation at Lomani,’ she says.
At Raffe’s Plantation Island, developments (due to open mid next year) include new Copra Restaurant, Baravi Mediterranean Kitchen, Bingham bar and swimming pools.
‘We find that the New Zealand market is now booking well in advance – around a year – so that they can secure the rooms they want.’ She says the trade has been active in informing clients that they need to get in early.
Sheraton Fiji has introduced a food truck by the main pool, offering fare such as fish and chips and hot dogs, plus ciders, beers and house wines. Other Marriott updates include the ‘fairly firm’ opening estimate of quarter one for the much anticipate new look Westin Fiji.
