The resort has expanded its Christmas programme, now running from 16 December 2026 to 10 January 2027, alongside its mid-year dates from 20 June to 18 July 2026. Traditionally an adults-only sanctuary, the private island opens its doors a few times each year to welcome families.
‘We continue to see a strong interest from returning guests and new families alike, which led us to make this decision,’ says Racheli Evanson, marketing director for Turtle Island.
Turtle Island hosts up to 14 families at a time across its 500-acre property, with 12 private beaches, beachfront bures and traditional Fijian villas.
During family time younger children are cared for with dedicated nannies, while older kids are paired with a Bula Buddy, a local companion for games, adventures, and cultural discovery. Family-friendly activities include snorkelling, fishing, island walks, storytelling, crafts, and beach games.
Meals are included and range from casual breakfasts and private beach picnics to shared dinners and dining experiences for children at the Family Village. Families can choose to dine together in private settings or join other guests.
