‘Our guests tend to be aged 50-75 plus years, are lovers of the outdoors, art, gardens, local cuisine. They’re also fit, active, inquisitive and enjoy exploring and learning,’ says Coles, who has a travel industry background. ‘They enjoy the comradery, fun and social aspects of travelling with just women. Most tours have a focus on leisure walking or cycling, and are commissionable to travel agents.’
Roam Adventures was formed last year and operated a number of successful trips between lock downs and other Covid restrictions.
Scheduled for February next year is a Wairarapa Walking Tour focusing on Kawakawa Station and Martinborough.
The Coromandel, Far North and Bay of Islands, plus Nelson-Tasman and Golden Bay, are some of the other regions being visited by Roam Adventures.
