Tailoring tours gives traction

Working with agents to tailor make packages for their clients has become a successful strategy for Inspired New Zealand Tours as domestic passengers look for something bespoke in a domestic holiday.

Director John Gregory says groups can be as small as six, benefiting on a personal level by touring with international standard drivers and guides.

‘The intimate group size, expert knowledge, plus the ability to build in experiences that particularly interest a group means that we can help agents build a programme that there clients could not access on their own steam.’

Gregory says the itineraries can be based on Inspired’s scheduled tours or they can be completely new programmes designed with agents and brokers from around the country.

‘We have many dates set for a number of agents running up to the end of the year and we are now starting to receive enquiries for January on.

‘We really recommend that agents get tour plans for the customers in place early to lock in accommodation in smaller locations where group hotels are limited.’
