TIME NZ graduate numbers hit a century

TIME NZ’s 100th mentee will graduate from the organisation’s travel industry professional mentoring programme at its graduation ceremony tomorrow, 9 September.

TIME has been helping travel industry professionals grow their careers since it established in New Zealand in 2019, taking its first intake of mentees in early 2020.

Over that period, TIME NZ has held 24 graduations and events, awarded 49 scholarships to support people through the mentoring programme, and built a professional community that includes 118 graduates and current mentees, as well as almost 80 industry professionals offering their advice and support as mentors.

TIME chairman Grant Bevin says the organisation has been a springboard to new opportunities and career highs for many of its mentees.

“We’ve seen many graduates go on to be promoted into new roles, start their own businesses and return to support others by becoming TIME mentors themselves.’

Bevin says TIME is grateful for the industry support it receives in providing its mentoring programmes. Some of the country’s well-known travel industry companies and brands support the programme through on-going partnerships or via scholarships.

Graduation is not the end of the TIME connection. Graduates remain part of an active TIME community with access to ongoing workshops, seminars, networking opportunities and industry events. They also often form strong, ongoing relationships with their mentors, Bevin says.
