Confidence in further growth over the coming year is high — and LTC bringing its flagship member event, the Remarkable Soirée, to Queenstown from 9-12 November is tangible proof of how important New Zealand has become within the wider LTC network, says head of LTC New Zealand, Kelly de Graaf.
‘New Zealand isn’t simply a destination for this year’s Soirée; it’s an increasingly important part of the Luxury Travel Collection community. We’ve welcomed some exceptional businesses into the network this year and we’re confident there is significant opportunity to grow further,’ de Graff adds.
The Soirée is one of LTC’s key community and relationship-building events, bringing together members, partners and leadership from across the network. This will be its first time in New Zealand, following last year’s event in Hong Kong.
‘We alternate between close to home and further afield,’ de Graaf adds. ‘The Queenstown event is taking shape nicely and we have confirmed former All Blacks captain Richie McCaw as keynote speaker.’
The event will also explore trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the luxury travel sector.
‘For high-net-worth travellers, luxury is increasingly about access, time and personalisation. They want experiences that feel designed around them rather than simply expensive — that might be a small ship, a private guide, access to a place normally closed to the public, or simply an itinerary that allows them to slow down and connect with a destination. The common thread is that it needs to feel considered and meaningful.’
