International Rail launches sales guide for travel agents

International Rail has launch of its newest resource for the travel trade – the Agent Sales Guide. Created specifically for agents, the guide is designed to make promoting, selling and booking rail product easier and more intuitive. It is available both as a physical book and a digital version.

CEO Jonathan Hume said the guide brings together an extensive collection of expert knowledge, including troubleshooting advice, booking timelines, destination guidance for clients and more.

‘Rail is one of the most rewarding ways to travel, but we appreciate it can feel complex when working across multiple destinations, operators and products. This guide has been created to make rail easier to understand, sell and recommend with confidence. After 21 years of rail expertise, our focus remains on supporting agents with the tools, knowledge and service they need to deliver exceptional rail journeys for their clients.’

The guide features comprehensive product information across International Rail’s global range — including Europe, Japan, the USA and Canada — along with practical booking tips, clear explanations of rail passes and point to point tickets, and details on ferries, transfers and additional products. It also includes useful selling advice and destination inspiration to help agents confidently recommend rail to their clients.

In response to agent demand, International Rail has expanded its support services to offer Live Chat for agents each Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
