Under the policy Back-Roads will absorb any increases in fuel, exchange rates and supplier operating costs that would ordinarily result in a post-booking surcharge, ensuring the price confirmed at the time of booking is the price travellers will pay.
Back-Roads Touring general manager APAC, Anna Fawcett says the policy reflects the brand’s commitment to providing certainty in an increasingly unpredictable travel environment.
‘Travellers are looking for confidence and transparency when planning their holidays,’ she says.
‘We know many people are concerned about rising costs and the possibility of additional charges being added after they’ve booked. That’s why we’re absorbing increases in fuel, exchange rates and supplier costs on eligible bookings to give customers that confidence”
‘Simply put, once the booking is confirmed, the tour price is locked in.’
The announcement compliments Back-Roads’ current Price Freeze campaign, allowing travellers to secure a 2027 departure at 2026 prices while also guaranteeing no additional tour surcharges will be applied after booking.
