CroisiEurope canals famil

Kaye Williamson from CroisiEurope GSA, Innovative Travel, recently hosted a CroisiEurope boutique barge famil, ex Strasbourg with agents and a media representative.

The seven-day fully hosted programme aboard the MS Madeleine barge from Strasbourg to Lagarde showcased traditional France, whilst navigating through the Marne-Rhine Canal.

Williamson says the itinerary is perfect for those who want to enjoy authentic French villages and towns at a leisurely pace.

The fully serviced CroisiEurope barge life includes French cuisine, accompanied by the chef’s recommended wine for the meal being served, cheese selection and desserts. Pre-lunch and dinner cocktails are served daily with an open bar all day, including regional wines, beer, spirits, cocktails and mocktails.

Guests can explore local villages dotted along the canals by foot, or via the onboard bikes. Each day the distances between locks are on display in the lounge area with a choice to walk or bike anywhere from one to five kilometres before rejoining the barge.

CroisiEurope’s 11 cabin barges offer seven-day boutique programmes through the Oise Valley, Moselle, Alsace, Burgundy and Provence with prices from $4,906 per person share twin. www.croisieurope.co.nz
