PONANT starts Europe, keen for down-under

PONANT is about to commence its 2021 season of small ship cruising in the Mediterranean and the French coastline, along with expeditions exploring Iceland.

‘While in Australia and New Zealand our ongoing discussions continue with governments, hopeful of border openings for small ships to provide much needed - and wanted - domestic cruising, Europe is well underway with its restart for the summer period,’ says  Sarina Bratton, PONANT chairman Asia Pacific.

‘Taking advantage of our tested and proven health protocols, and the compact size of PONANT’s fleet of ships, Europeans are now able to Brittany, Corsica, Croatian ports, Greek islands, coastal Spain and the glaciers and fjords of Iceland.’

Poised for a restart in Australia and New Zealand, PONANT has two ships located in the region, Le Soléal and Le Lapérouse, both ready to recommence operation with a range of itineraries during 2021 and 2022. ‘These are well booked,’ she says.’

For 2021 and 2022 PONANT has a range of local Australian and New Zealand itineraries.
