Already announced was the limited-edition 130th anniversary badge that honours the company’s first expedition voyage in 1896 – between Hammerfest and Spitsbergen in Svalbard. HX has now confirmed that guests will see special culinary surprises, science lectures and even a 130th anniversary cocktail to be served throughout the year.
HX will offer experiences to celebrate its long-standing history in the world of exploration. All new guests booking can take advantage of an opportunity to upgrade their cabins for 2026 expeditions. This allows guests to upgrade to a suite for the price of a Arctic superior cabin. This is a limited-edition deal on polar voyages and for new bookings only.
Events will include historian and storyteller Magnus Winvold being on select voyages for exclusive talks about HX’s rich history and its legacy in polar exploration.
Guests will be able to show off their photography skills by entering HX’s 130th Anniversary Photo Competition, while HX will also be setting a special fund-raising target to support conservation and sustainability projects through its dedicated charity the HX Foundation.
Booking promotions from now to 30 June include discounts and packages throughout 2025. Agents should look out for the special ‘130 years’ labels.
