The 12-room retreat, adjacent to Mt Tibrogargan in the Sunshine Coast has been taken over by Chris Pires, who believes that the property’s connection with nature and its distinctive range of accommodation makes it the perfect place to disconnect from the stresses of life.
Accommodation options include restored Victorian and Queensland state train carriages featuring kitchenettes, a spacious converted historic church, garden bungalows and forest family rooms that can sleep up to four.
‘We’ve invested in upgrades to the rooms and the gardens, which feature a coffee plantation and some 60 fruit trees. We also have bushtucker plants that highlight our connection with Kabi Kabi Country, the traditional owners of this landscape,’ says Pires.
‘For families who want their children to get off their devices and reconnect with nature, we are set up perfectly. They can explore the wild in our backyard and then head to Australia Zoo, 10 minutes away.’
