Based in Emerald in Central Queensland, Macfarlane will lead the continued implementation of CHDC’s Visitor Economy Action Plan 2025-2028.

She has worked extensively in the industry across marketing, product, business development, and travel writing. Her career includes senior roles with JUCY, Adventure World, and 1Cover, as well as editorials for leading tourism publications, destinations, and operators.
