The Adelaide Hills has a new self-drive trail showcasing the depth and quality of its artisan producers alongside its cool-climate wines.

The Adelaide Hills Harvest & Bloom Trail connects more than 18 farms and seasonal experiences across the region. It takes in multi-generational family farms with some producers spanning up to six generations – Bishop Orchards has been growing cherries in the region since 1871.

Guided and hands-on experiences include a dog-led truffle hunt through wine country with Adelaide Hills Truffle Company and bouquet-making workshops at Blumenfeld Flowers.

Visitors can also ‘pick-their-own’ across the seasons with products such as cherries, apples, berries, figs, lavender, sunflowers and more at various farms.

Farm gate produce and tastings of jams, cider, fig gin and local wine are available at stops including Beerenberg, Gooseberry Hill Farm and Bishop Orchards.

The trail is an easy day trip from Adelaide and a fresh way for New Zealanders to experience the region’s food and wine offering at their own pace. Travellers can download a trail map and seasonal picking calendar HERE.
