Murray River Paddlesteamers has announced 18 September 2026, as the launch date of the five-star, overnight river paddlesteamer, Australian Star. Set to debut at the historic Victorian river port of Echuca, PS Australian Star will offer three, four and seven-night cruises year-round along the Murray.

The full 2028 programme for PS Australian Star has also been released, with earlybird savings of A$500 per couple available for bookings made by 30 September 2026.

The inaugural cruise next month will be a three-night journey starting in her home base of Echuca, Victoria.

Accommodating 38 guests in air-conditioned staterooms, PS Australian Star recreates the charm of a 19th-century paddlesteamer, while integrating modern comforts. Facilities include a lounge with sweeping river views, restaurant, and multiple outdoor spaces designed for taking in the passing scenery.

Murray River Paddlesteamers is part of the APT Travel Group and offers 10% commission for travel agents.
