The 2027 edition is shaping up to be the biggest yet, becoming the first UCI World Tour race to stage the elite men’s and women’s races on the same days and over the same courses.
For visitors, that means more opportunities to experience world class cycling alongside South Australia’s food, wine and beaches with stages at Henley Beach, Glenelg, Christies Beach and Victor Harbor.
The event will also be the longest in Santos Tour Down Under history with the men’s race covering 874 kilometres, and the women’s race extended to a record 397.3 kilometres.
Roadside viewing is free, with hospitality experiences also available for those wanting premium viewing, food and entertainment.
Stages wind through some of South Australia’s best-known wine regions, including Barossa, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, making it easy to combine race viewing with cellar door visits, long lunches and regional touring.
