Participants headed to Adelaide railway station to start their two night, three day journey across the spectacular Nullarbor from Adelaide to Perth, then followed the path of pioneers, gold rush prospectors, and adventurers as they made the transcontinental crossing onboard the Journey Beyond-operated train.
Highlights onboard included gourmet meals using local ingredients, the diverse landscapes of the Nullarbor, dinner under outback stars in Rawlinna and exploring the ghost town of Cook. The famil group also got a chance to view the two new Australis luxury suites on the Indian Pacific.
Once the delegates disembarked in Perth, they explored Perth city on a walking tour with Oh Hey WA checking out the street art, views of Elizabeth Quay and the historic State Buildings.
The next day they visited Rottnest Island, with an official welcome, a bus tour around the destination, site inspections of The Lodge Wadjemup near the Settlement, plus Rottnest Discovery Resorts which overlooks Pinky Beach. They spent the night staying at the new Garde Hotel in Fremantle, and visited a gin distillery and enjoyed dinner at Emily Taylor Bar & Kitchen.
The final day was spent exploring the Swan Valley, having a Bush Tucker Talk and Tasting experience with Dale Tilbrook, blending wine at Mandoon Estate, followed by lunch at Sandalford Wines and a site inspection of Crown Towers Perth.
