Kakadu operators are expecting a boost in global profile this year as the movie Crocodile Dundee marks its 40th anniversary.

Kakadu Tourism, an indigenous owned company offering a collection of experiences in the region, has formulated a number of self-drive itineraries which travel agents can tap into, highlighting many of the sites that were featured in the movie.

‘The majority of the film was shot in the region,’ says Samantha Waldron, director of sales and marketing at Kakadu Tourism. ‘We’ll be tapping into the set-jetting trend to celebrate 40 years since the movie’s international release in September this year.’
Kakadu Tourism’s portfolio includes Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel, Cooinda Lodge, Warradjan Cultural Centre and more.
