With Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY) now serviced directly by Jetstar throughout the year, and with Air New Zealand expected to continue its seasonal winter flights between AKL and MCY, the Sunshine Coast is anticipating record numbers across the Tasman this winter.
Bringing some sunshine to House of Travel agents, VSC trade and international manager, Emily Zinowki hit the road visiting retail stores across Auckland and Christchurch.
Zinowki met with retail store owners and their teams to provide valuable updates and insights into the Sunshine Coast, ensuring the destination will be front of mind as inquiries grow over the next few months.
‘It was a great opportunity to meet face to face with House of Travel agents as there is a vast amount of news to share about new Sunshine Coast product,’ says Zinowki.
‘With the greater direct access to Sunshine Coast Airport, all the teams reported there had been an uptick in inquiries from clients looking to holiday or attend one of the many events taking place on the Sunshine Coast over the next six months.’
