Visitors to South Korea can now access 15 UNESCO World Heritage sites, reflecting the country’s history, landscapes and culture, says World Journeys.

A popular example is Changdeokgung in Seoul - a former royal palace and among the best preserved of all Korean palaces.

In addition, there are 21 UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity designations, one of which is Kimjang the making and sharing of Kimchi (fermented vegetables).

UNESCO also acknowledges significant Memory of the World items, which include Korea’s Dunguibogam encyclopaedia of Oriental Medicine, published in the early 1600s. World Journeys can include some of these UNESCO-recognised highlights in tailor-made itineraries for South Korea.
