Delta Air Lines and Memphis Tourism recently hosted a group of agents as part of an incentive to the USA. Chris Ingram from Memphis Tourism curated an extensive itinerary that offered a deep dive into the city’s rich musical heritage and cultural history.

Exploring the city’s musical roots onboard a Mojo Tour with Backbeat Bus Tours, the group visited Sun Studio, the Stax Museum, and the Memphis Rock ’n’ Soul Museum, finishing at Old Dominick Distillery for a whiskey tasting experience.

A highlight, according to Alison Hopkirk from Delta, was a visit to the National Civil Rights Museum. Located at the former Lorraine Motel, where Dr Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, it offered a thought-provoking experience.
The itinerary also included breakfast at the historic Arcade Restaurant—Memphis’ oldest café and a favourite of Elvis Presley—before continuing on to Graceland, the legendary home of the King of Rock ’n’ Roll. The day concluded with dinner at Itta Bena Restaurant, followed by an evening at B.B. King’s Blues Club.

The trip wouldn’t be complete without a visit to The Peabody Hotel for the traditional Duck March, a visit to the observation deck at The Lookout at the Pyramid, and a farewell lunch at the Majestic Grill.
