Interest likely to peak for new AW itinerary

Adventure World has launched a Rails, Peaks & Parks itinerary, an 11-day journey designed to allow guests to spend more time in the Canadian Rockies and surrounding area in the high season.

Launching for a limited season – June and July 2026 – the itinerary features Rocky Mountaineer’s new Passage to the Peaks train journey. While most rail journeys traditionally gateway through Vancouver, this route will connect the iconic mountain towns of Jasper and Banff via Kamloops by operating as a round-trip from Calgary.

Highlights include a helicopter flight over Mount Assiniboine, offering views of ‘The Matterhorn of the Rockies.’

It also provides access to the new BASIN Glacial Waters at Fairmont’s Chateau Lake Louise, a world-class thermal bathing experience.

Kristy Prince, product manager North America at Adventure World says that by integrating Rocky Mountaineer’s new route into a broader Adventure World journey, the brand is offering a ‘slow travel’ experience that will see guests miss the compression it anticipates Vancouver will be experiencing during FIFA World Cup while hitting some of the most spectacular scenery this region has to offer.

To mark the launch, Adventure World is offering savings of up to $650 per person on select departures when booked before 31 March 2026.

Adventure World has also released an updated Rockies by Rail booklet, featuring details on this itinerary and more. Travel partners can download the digital toolkit to assist with client inquiries during this peak demand cycle.
