SQ's third AKL-SIN service

The introduction of a third daily flight between Auckland and Singapore starting in October was a talking point when Singapore Airlines hosted an intimate media gathering in Auckland late March.

General manager NZ, George Robertson points out this will be the first time SQ has operated three flights a day out of New Zealand.

The flight will be operated by an A350 and is indicative of growing demand on the route, Robertson says.

He adds that regional performance in Australia and New Zealand is among the strongest in the airline’s network.

The airline is also looking ahead to its 50th anniversary (in two years’ time) of serving New Zealand and marking a revamp of its offering in the premium economy cabin.
