The itinerary visits many of the same destinations as Viva's Ultimate Morocco tour, including Chefchaouen, Fes, the Sahara Desert, Ait Ben Haddou and Marrakech, but with a stronger focus on hands-on experiences.
Culinary inclusions are a centrepiece of the new longer itinerary. Travellers take part in cooking classes, a Moroccan pastry workshop and a Berber cooking experience, alongside a street food tour in Marrakech, and visits to local markets.
The journey also incorporates a dinner with a local Fassi family in Fes and time spent with Berber communities in the Atlas Mountains.
Viva Expeditions Africa product manager TanyahGurtin said the revamped itinerary gives agents a stronger way to sell Morocco to clients looking for more than the standard sightseeing route.
