Maher Tours | Auckland | Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

Maher Tours is looking for an energetic and relationship-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for travel and a proven ability to build strong, lasting partnerships.

You'll play a key role in growing our footprint in the market — working closely with travel agents to showcase our escorted tours and independent travel packages, while also taking our story directly to our clients.

Start date: ASAP

The role includes (among other things):

Building and nurturing relationships with travel agents, positioning Maher Tours as their go-to partner

Organising and running roadshows and presentations at retirement villages for existing and potential clients

• Planning and coordinating events that give people a genuine feel for what a Maher Tours holiday is like
• Identifying new business opportunities and following up leads
• Working collaboratively with our internal teams to ensure a seamless experience from first enquiry through to travel
• Keeping a finger on the pulse of industry trends, competitor offerings, and client feedback

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in the travel industry is essential
• A natural relationship-builder who enjoys face-to-face engagement
• Confident, engaging presentation skills
• Self-motivated with a strong drive to generate new business
• Excellent organisational skills
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to meet clients and agents
