The Walshe Group is General Sales Agent (GSA) in New Zealand for Air Niugini, who will commence online service to New Zealand later this year. We are looking to appoint a Sales Support Consultant, with attention to detail &previous airline sales experience, dedicated to the Air Niugini account.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing exceptional customer service and support to travel agents and direct customers
• Processing booking inquiries, ticket sales, and reservation changes in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Air Niugini products, services, and policies
• Collaborating with the sales team to support new sales initiatives
• Providing support to travel agents as required, including assistance quoting airfares and handling group bookings

Skills and experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer service or sales support role, preferably within the airline or travel industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Proficient in using Airline reservation systems and computer software, with strong attention to detail. Previous experience using SABRE an advantage.
• Knowledgeable about airline products & policies, services, and industry regulations.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands
