Villa Te Arau at Aitutaki Lagoon Resort & Spa

The Aitutaki Lagoon Resort & Spa has earned fame as a romantic getaway - ideal for honeymoons and special private occasions.

However, it is also ideal for corporate events, especially incentives and reward programmes dependent on providing a breathtaking setting while being a short haul destination from New Zealand.

The resort is set on Aitutaki lagoon. A two minute ride by small private ferry from the main island of Aitutaki, this intimate boutique bungalow resort is set on its own private isle, complete with the Cook Islands’ only over water bungalows and its own luxury private pool villa, Villa Te Arau - Royal Honeymoon Pool Villa.

The new lagoon front Oneroa Beach Chapel completes the scene for incurable romantics.

The Aitutaki Lagoon Resort & Spa is the sister resort of The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa, already popular with New Zealand corporate groups looking for a conference or incentive with a difference.

Activities

The Rarotongan property is set on Aro’a Lagoon Marine Reserve, a snorkeler’s paradise. The activities team is on hand for holiday makers interested in a night snorkelling safari, paddling a vaka (outrigger), husking a coconut, dancing the ‘ura (hula), or making an ei (lei). Of course these activities can easily be adapted for and included in corporate programmes.

The Rarotongan also has a recently opened selection of villas - perfect for exclusive and executive retreats. Tata Crocombe, managing director of the Rartongan Beach Resort & Spa says the addition of the Tiare Taporo Villa Estate has been a boost for small executive meetings, cocktail parties and private dinners. The villa is an old sea captain’s estate, totally refurbished and perfect for entertaining groups,’ he points out.
