The Pacific Area Incentive and Conference Expo (PAICE 2018) is being held at SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre on Tuesday 20 November and organisers are encouraging home based and mobile agents to take advantage of the free registration. ‘Obviously the expo continues to cater for dedicated corporate travel agents and incentive operators,’ says Convene Group managing director Ally Eastaugh. ‘However, we also know that travel brokers who deal in specific niche areas find the exhibition extremely beneficial.’ Eastaugh says that PAICE focuses heavily on experiences, tapping into new trends and desires to really delve into a destination’s people, cultures and differences.
‘The international mix provided at PAICE is something the travel trade in New Zealand will not find anywhere else in this country. We have new exhibitors such as Latin American Alliance, plus familiar favourites such as New Caledonia Tourism, Niue Tourism, Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Destination Asia and many more.’ Eastaugh says 2018 sees the return of Business Events Tasmania and Northern Territory Convention Bureau after a brief absence. We are also seeing a strong turnout from the Hunter Valley – Newcastle region, reflecting the coming Virgin Australia service between Newcastle and Auckland. ‘For many of our exhibitors, PAICE is their once a year visit to our shores and home based agents are not always on their radar. So this is a real opportunity for brokers, including those from outside Auckland, to catch up face to face with these key suppliers.’ Register at www.paicexpo.co.nz/registration/visitors/visitors
