Captain Cook Cruises Fiji new brochure

Captain Cook Cruises Fiji has released a new Fiji Islands Small Ship Cruising brochure for 2014/15.

The 12 page brochure includes accommodated cruises around the Yasawa Islands, Fiji’s remote north and Lau islands, wedding and romance packages, functions and events, day cruises and Tivua Island stays.

New for 2014 is the 11 night Lau Islands Discovery cruise taking passengers on a voyage of discovery to a part of Fiji rarely seen by tourists - the Lau Islands and Kadavu.

Three, four, seven and eleven night cruises are available as well as day cruises to Tivua Island, providing a taste of what the cruise line can offer.

Jackie Charlton, managing director, Captain Cook Cruises Fiji, says the new brochure offers something for everyone.

‘Our small ship MV Reef Endeavour takes guests to remote islands and villages where larger ships cannot get to and mainland resorts cannot access, for a true authentic Fijian experience.’

Explorer of the Seas new home port

Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas will be home ported in Sydney from November 2015, replacing Rhapsody of the Seas.

The 3,800-guest Explorer of the Seas is a slightly larger sister ship to Voyager of the Seas, currently the largest ship ever to be deployed to the region. The ship’s maiden Australasian season will take in ports across, New Zealand, the South Pacific, and Australia, along with repositioning cruises both to and from Singapore.

The Explorer of the Seas was launched in 2000 and is currently based in Cape Liberty, New York sailing to the Caribbean, Bermuda and Canada. During the northern summer 2015, she will be based in Southampton, England on her first ever European deployment. In October she will then commence a month-long journey to Singapore; followed by a grand tour of western and southern Australia – taking in maiden ports of call in Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne and finally New Zealand – en route to Sydney.

Rhapsody of the Seas will leave the local fleet in April 2015 after eight successive seasons. Demand is expected to be high on her farewell summer 2014-15 season. She will be based in the Mediterranean from May to October 2015 with further itineraries to be announced shortly.

The 2015-16 Australia and New Zealand cruise season will go on sale in the next two weeks.
