Queensland - it’s a wrap

Queensland on Stage wrapped up in Tangalooma this week with the revelation overall international visitor numbers were up 3.2%.
According to figures released by Tourism Research Australia, total visitor nights market reached 53.5 million in the year ending March 2017.

China is the state’s largest international market in terms of overnight visitor expenditure, but New Zealand also showed strong growth both in visitor numbers (up 6.6% to 454,000) and expenditure (up 7.5% to more than $600 million).
Queensland on Stage, showcasing the best of what Queensland has to offer, was organised by Tourism Events Queensland.
This year’s event, held from 4 to 6 June, attracted around 100 suppliers and agents.
On the second night attendees retired from their appointment filled-day to be treated to an island themed gala evening.
