With the slow easing of restrictions around the world, people are starting to think about travel again. Already showing positive room demand and occupancy, Memphis is beginning to reopen, making now the perfect time for the trade to upskill and increase their product knowledge of the area. Led by Australia / New Zealand director, Chris Ingram, and Memphis-based international sales manager, Lisa Catron, the training webinar will cover key facts as well as lesser known aspects of the home of blues, soul, and rock n’ roll (not to mention the world’s best barbecue).
The webinar will allow up to 300 attendees to ask questions, seek details on specific attractions, and gain a better understanding of the city. Memphis has been proactive in rescheduling key events, and restarting local tourism. Graceland reopened for business this week, as did the Botanic Gardens and Memphis Zoo, and rather than cancel the Memphis in May festival, it will this year take place in October. ‘Memphis is living the city’s current mantra, ‘When things get rocky, we still know how to roll,’” says Ingram.
