The Aranui 3 is a half freighter and half cruise ship that operates between Tahiti and the Marquesas Islands. She was in Auckland early January for a maintenance update and a soft refurbishment and Tahiti Tourisme took the opportunity to invite partners and Tiare agents onboard to inspect the ship while in dry dock at Auckland's Babcock dockyard. Built in 2003, the 180 capacity passenger freighter is classed as a 'soft adventure' experience with accommodation ranging from suites to triple and twin cabins as well as an eight bedded dormitory. Read more about the Aranui 3 and the journey in the April/May edition of TRAVELinc magazine.
